Upstate New York
Far from the city
We walked through the quiet streets
Late one Christmas Eve
The mountain in silence
Over the river
Snow fell through the pine trees
Late one Christmas Eve
My only friend was there with me
When the Queen of Heaven was suddenly
In the cold and the silence
Far from the family
We spoke in whispers
Late one Christmas Eve
In the dark, we wandered
Along the river
With the sound of the quiet
Late one Christmas Eve
My only friend was there with me
When the Queen of Heaven was suddenly
I thought of the Fire
The Temple and Ladder
The Gate and the Garden
Late one Christmas Eve
I thought of a virgin
The star in the darkness
What her hands were weaving
Late one Christmas Eve
My only friend was there with me
When the Queen of Heaven was suddenly
And my only thought was “woe is me”
When the Queen of Heaven suddenly
The mountain in silence
Over the river
Snow fell through the pine trees
Late one Christmas Eve

I have been a listener of Luxury since ‘Amazing and Thank You’ Lee’s thoughtful lyrics the instrumentation and raw emotion have always drawn me to this band. So far on this album I enjoy One of Those Things (Or) The Temple. Great job! jason hendry
